SKY DIVE INTO THE HANGING ROCK AUSTRALIA DAY RACES
WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Two lucky ‘Arrive in Style’ Skydive competition winners Marissa, and Christie will demonstrate their tandem jumping style at this years Australia Day Hanging Rock Races. The lucky, or some might argue, brave contestants, won their chance to participate in the skydiving spectacular as part of the Australia Day celebrations planned for the Hanging Rock races.
The crowd will be entertained by the Skydive spectacular and will see the lucky winners ‘Arrive in Style’ onto the centre of the race track.
Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service, The Hanging Rock Racing Club and Sky Dive , collaborated on bringing this skydiving opportunity to fruition and in making sure that this years Hanging Rock Races turn out to be a fantastic day of racing, celebration and spectator sights.
The ‘Arrive in Style’, competition was conducted by Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service who were delighted by the huge number of entrants in the competition. According to the marketing manager, Shaun Stenning, most entrants were novices and keen to ‘have-a-go’ at a high adrenalin sporting activity.
The tandem skydive prize was donated by the Australian Skydiving Company who will conduct the event on the day. It will be a colorful display of skydiving skill by the company jumping team and importantly, it will be a very memorable way for the winners to commence their day at the Australia Day races.
The Hanging Rock Races is a crowd favorite and is famous on the Country Racing calendar for the running of the Hanging Rock Cup. Hanging Rock is an Australian icon and as a racing venue its picturesque surrounds are perfect location for a day out at the races. In addition to the races and skydiving there will be loads of on course Australian Entertainment, a kids carnival, and the running of the Hanging Rock Cup.
It will be a great day to see the competition winners take their first Skydive, have a bet or two, or simply enjoy the spirit of Australia Day at the races.
