Since 2001 the Kyneton Jazz and Heritage Festival has excited audiences with a weekend of Australia's finest Jazz Music, Hot Swing and Cajun Sounds.

From October 12-14 the three day Kyneton Jazz & Heritage Festival features numerous bands at two big venues in the central Victorian town of Kyneton, only one hour's drive from Melbourne.

This year the festival orgnisers are proud to announce the Julie O'Hara Band and Hpw;ers Cotton Club with special vocalist, Carol Ralph. Both bands feature over the weekend and the Friday night opening Cabaret is always a sell out.

Saturday and Sunday's line up of entertainment is exceptional -as always. Don't miss Jazz Music by Rod Andrew Hot Peppers Jazz Band, the definitive New Orleans sound of The Louisiana Shakers and Gail Kingston and Hot Foot Jazz.

If a band you want to see is playing at the same time as another, don't worry, the Jazz Festival features encore performances each day.

The Bluestone Theater - One of the oldest buildings in Kyneton, (celebrating it's 150 bithday this year!), the old congregation church was transformed into a performing space in the 1970's by a committed group of community members.

It is a unique performance space - as dramatic outside as it is in the inside.  Enjoy the heritage vegetation surrounds and the striking gothic qualities of the period bluestone, and inside, stained timber, original honour boards, and hugh internal timbers.  The venue features a refurbished pipe organ of outstanding quality.

A fantastic venue for enjoying the lively and entertaining jazz music of the Kyneton Jazz Festival.

The Town Hall, Kyneton- At the centre of Kyneton, and the centerpiece for community activity, the old Shire Hall of Kyneton is the premier performance and event space in the Macedon Ranges.  It was opened in 1929 in its current configuration, and has been home to cinema, performances, and importantly, the Kyneton Jazz Festival for many years.

The Hall boasts reconditioned internal spaces and the recent completion of a technical upgrade has increased the flexibility of the venue for community and professional events.

Our Lady of the Rosary, Catholic Church- One of Kyneton's finest heritage bluestone churches.
